How can I volunteer?
There are so many ways to support survivors through volunteering. Here are a few examples below!
Biggest needs:
- On call / support survivors
- Event support
Other needs:
- Clerical office support
- Social media
- Brochures (print and fold)
- Pull weeds at safe home
- Paint
- Clean
- Help survivors move furniture and more
Due to the nature of our services, a background check is a requirement.

Can I bring friends to volunteer with me?
Yes! Of course! The more the merrier. A background check will be required by all volunteers.

Where do you volunteer?
You may volunteer at our office, our home, or any of our events.

What type of donations do you accept?
Your generous donations help support individuals and families in need. We gladly accept:
Gently used clothing and shoes
Household items and kitchenware
Toiletries and hygiene products
Cleaning supplies and paper goods
Non-perishable food items
Diapers, wipes, and baby essentials
Please Note:
Larger donations, such as furniture or bulk items, must be scheduled in advance with an advocate. These items are stored off-site in our storage unit.

Can I donate services?
We truly appreciate your willingness to give back. We gladly accept in-kind service donations that align with our mission and help us better serve survivors.
We deeply appreciate community members who share their time, skills, and services to help survivors and strengthen our programs.
We gladly accept a variety of donated services, depending on current needs.
Examples include:
Fundraising support: Hosting benefit events, donating your goods/services for silent and live auction items at our fundraising events, or donating a portion of business proceeds to Willow Rising.
Professional or business services: Offering free or reduced-rate services such as printing, photography, graphic design, marketing, or legal/financial consulting.
Personal services: Providing haircuts, self-care, massage, tattoo cover-ups, pet care, or other survivor-supportive services.
Volunteering: Helping with events, outreach, administrative tasks, or client support activities.

Is there a tax deduction for donations?
How to Obtain a Tax Donation Form
If you would like a tax donation form for your records, please email Megan at mboyd@willowrising.org. She will provide you with the correct form and include the IRS-recommended valuation guidelines to help you complete it accurately.
